PRIVACY POLICY
10 August 2026 | Effective from Date of Publication
1. Who We Are
Lexovia is an online legal document drafting and statutory research platform based in India. Lexovia is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice — see our Terms, Conditions & Disclaimer for full details on the nature of our services.
This policy applies to all personal data collected through lexovia.in, our order forms, and any email or written communication you have with us.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the personal data necessary to provide our services:
- Contact details — name and email address provided when placing an order or contacting us.
- Order details — the case facts, party details, documents, and instructions you submit for drafting or research.
- Payment information — payment confirmations and transaction references from our third-party payment gateway. Lexovia does not collect or store your card, UPI, or bank credentials — these are handled entirely by our payment gateway partner.
- Technical data — basic website usage data such as browser type and pages visited, collected automatically for security and site performance purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data solely to:
- Prepare the documents or research reports you have ordered
- Communicate with you about your order, including drafts, revisions, and delivery
- Process payments through our third-party payment gateway
- Respond to enquiries and grievances
- Comply with applicable law, including tax and accounting requirements
We do not use your personal data for any purpose beyond delivering the service you have ordered, unless you separately consent to it.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"). Our basis for processing is your consent, given when you place an order or otherwise submit information to us, and — where applicable — our legitimate need to fulfil the contract formed when you place an order.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
Lexovia does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With our third-party payment gateway, solely to process your payment
- With our UK immigration partner (IAA/SRA-registered), solely where you have ordered UK immigration document support requiring coordination with them
- Where required by law, regulation, court order, or governmental authority
- With our internal personnel strictly on a need-to-know basis to prepare your order
- With our professional advisors (such as accountants or legal counsel), where necessary
- In connection with a business merger, sale, or reorganisation
- To enforce our Terms, collect debts, investigate fraud, or protect our rights or the safety of others
We do not share your data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
Customer data submitted for document or research preparation is retained for 30 days from the date of final delivery, after which it is deleted from our systems, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law (for example, tax or accounting records). Email correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping and grievance-resolution purposes.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including secure hosting, restricted internal access, and confidential handling of all customer information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Withdraw consent for processing, where consent is the basis of processing
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf, in the event of your death or incapacity
- Register a grievance regarding the handling of your personal data
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at lexovialegalservices@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.
9. Cookies & Website Analytics
Our website may use essential cookies required for the site to function correctly, and basic analytics to understand aggregate website usage. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some website functionality.
10. Third-Party Links & Services
Our website and communications may reference third-party services, such as our payment gateway. These third parties have their own privacy policies, and Lexovia is not responsible for their data practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party service you interact with.
11. Children's Privacy
Lexovia's services are intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age or otherwise legally competent to contract under Indian law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
Lexovia may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Any update will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Grievance Officer & Contact
For any question, concern, or grievance regarding this Privacy Policy or the handling of your personal data, please write to our Grievance Officer at lexovialegalservices@gmail.com. Grievances will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt and addressed within the timelines prescribed under applicable law.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms, Conditions & Disclaimer, which governs your use of Lexovia's services.
